Dr. Jake Gilbar

Meet Dr. Jake Gilbar who joined our practice in November, 2016.  We are proud to have Dr. Gilbar on our staff of professionals where he brings a special interest in dry eye and specialty contact lenses.  Dr. Gilbar is a third generation OD, following his father and his grandfather in the profession of eye healthcare.  He studied at Pacific University where he was awarded the Private Practice scholarship and when he was not studying, he was working with the Project Homeless Connect and the Oregon Special Olympics.  After graduating from Pacific University, Dr. Gilbar could find no good reason to leave the beautiful Pacific Northwest so he made Washington State his home and remains active in the Special Olympics, is instrumental in developing volunteer programs within the King county Optometric Society and is active in the American Academy of Optometry and our local Optometric Physicians of Washington group.  Dr. Gilbar delights in seeing all patients of all ages and we believe you are going to love him as much as we do!
